Pacific Tattoo is the studio of artist Tim Hunt, and has been operating on the Kapiti Coast since 2008. It is situated in the back garden of our home in Otaki, a relaxed and peaceful setting to help make for a comfortable and memorable experience.
I began tattooing under Leo Zulueta at Black Wave, Los Angeles in 2000, and was particularly inspired and influenced by Sua Sulu’ape Paulo, Keone Nunes and Gordon Toi.
I have a strong feeling of connection to the natural world, and I love the way that this is expressed through Polynesian and Maori art and philosophy.
All work at Pacific Tattoo is done by appointment. Each design is unique and is generally drawn straight on to the body on the day. It is a good idea to make time for a consultation before your appointment to talk about the style you want, what you would like to portray or represent, and anything else you are unsure of.
